Overhaus were commissioned to do a rebranding of AKKS national profile. AKKS wanted to keep some of the key elements in the profile, such as the logo. We decided to use much of the profile work we’ve been doing for the Bergen branch of the organization.  To keep the profile easy to work with for the different branches, we decided on a strong and simplified color profile, and also to implement new fonts and rules on how to use them. The basic elements in the profile, rely heavily on the use of black and white photos of youth playing different kinds of music. Composition of photos and text are also a nod towards the good old Blue Note designs, which in turn is reminiscent of a strong, solid and heavy fundament.
